Mortgage Loan Officer for a Credit Union | Full Time Remote

Are you a relationship driven Mortgage Loan Officer who thrives on helping members achieve home ownership while maintaining strong compliance and service standards? We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated professional to join a well established credit union mortgage team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys guiding members through the loan process from application to closing while building strong partnerships with realtors and community stakeholders.

What You?ll Do
  • Interview and qualify members for conventional and government mortgage products
  • Conduct in person and phone consultations with members and realtors
  • Review applications, documentation, and submit loans for underwriting
  • Coordinate appraisals, title work, insurance, and closing timelines
  • Maintain consistent communication throughout the loan process
  • Issue Adverse Action Notices when required
  • Maintain a clean and compliant loan pipeline
  • Cross sell additional credit union products and services
  • Participate in homebuyer seminars, realtor events, and community outreach
  • Stay current on regulatory updates and mortgage guidelines
What You Bring
  • Minimum three years of mortgage origination or related experience
  • Ability to close up to 80 loans per year or approximately 12 million in annual volume
  • Strong knowledge of conventional and government underwriting guidelines
  • Understanding of Texas and New Mexico real estate laws
  • Knowledge of Title Insurance regulations
  • Familiarity with BSA, AML, OFAC, and related compliance requirements
  • Experience with loan origination software
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Active state and national licensing with required continuing education
