The Boeing Company is hiring for a Lead Financial Analyst (Level
5) in San Antonio, TX or Hazelwood, MO
. This position is expected to be 100% onsite; the selected candidate will work onsite in San Antonio, Texas or Hazelwood, Missouri.
The selected Lead Financial Analyst will serve as the C-17 Business Unit Integrator Team Lead, responsible for leading baselines and earned value management for the C-17 program. This role is essential for supporting integrated performance reviews and ensuring compliance with financial policies for the C-17 Sustainment and Non‑Recurring development programs for the United States Air Force.

- Lead the management of baselines and earned value management processes for the C‑17 program.
- Track actions, baseline status, and train team members to ensure compliance and timely completion of baselines.
- Complete business unit integrator tasks for major baselines, leading all baselines and assisting others as needed.
- Review all budget memos, ensuring quality and compliance with financial policies.
- Engage directly with Program Management to resolve issues and facilitate effective communication.
- Support the training of the team, particularly for new team members, to ensure a knowledgeable and effective workforce.
- Track and assign tasks to team members, deconflicting assignments as necessary to maintain workflow.
- Act as a backup to management, providing leadership and support in their absence.
- Identify issues within the team or processes and bring forward recommended solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct in‑depth financial modeling and cost management to support robust opportunity and risk development.
- Lead the development of performance reports and variance analyses, providing insights into operational and financial performance to senior management.
- Makes recommendations to senior management on financial performance and projections using extensive financial knowledge and experience.
- Analyze data to quantify cost risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures.
- Collaborate with teams across Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S), Financial Analysis, Control Account Managers (CAMs), Program Management, Contracts, Estimating, and Supply Chain.
- Present business cases using appropriate indices to maximize profitability and shareholder value.
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 10+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years experience in finance
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Index/Match)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Skilled in preparing and leading Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and reports (IPMR, CPR, CFSR)
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, and SQL
- Experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS)
