This position is available as an on-site assignment in San Antonio.
The Senior Credit Analyst analyzes and monitors credit worthiness of the bank's customers and potential customers. The ideal candidate analyzes financial statements, tax returns, and bank references to evaluate the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit with the bank. Makes recommendations on credits consistent with bank policy and guidelines.

- Research background documentation and review personal and business financial statements and tax returns. Analyze financial information and prepare the preliminary analysis.
- Request and obtain financial statements on existing customers.
- Review and prepare written analysis, spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions.
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of loan memorandum for presentation to lenders and/or loan committees.
- Follow all applicable laws and regulations.
- Carry out responsibilities with professionalism, respect for others, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Prepare miscellaneous management reports.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Monitor portfolio risk and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with lenders to support credit decisions and client relationship goals.
- Generate reports and identify process improvements to enhance credit operations.
- Conduct credit analyses and prepare concise loan memos for new and existing clients.

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a business-related concentration.
- 2+ years of experience preferred.
- Previous exposure to SBA or other government guaranteed loans preferred.
- Familiarity with credit write‑ups
- Financial spreads
- Cash flow analysis
- Previous experience with Sageworks preferred.
- Strong positivity

- Strong people acumen and relationship skills; naturally pre‑disposed to quickly establish positive personal and professional relationships

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
