Hiring for an in‑person role in San Antonio, Texas only, with potential for a hybrid schedule after 90 days.

• Help grow the Farm Bureau Mortgage division.
• Review and analyze mortgage loan applications, credit reports, income, assets, and property appraisals.
• Ensure loans meet company, investor, FHA, VA, and other agency guidelines.
• Determine creditworthiness and risk level of applicants.
• Identify potential fraud or compliance issues and escalate as needed.
může Approve, suspend, or decline loans based on underwriting standards.
• Communicate decisions山市紧 to loan officers and processors.
• Maintain adherence to federal and state regulations, including TRID and HMDA.
• Respond to offsets audit and quality control reviews promptly.
• Mentor junior underwriters and assist with training.
• Work closely with processing, closing, and sales teams to resolve complex scenarios.
• Utilize Loan Origination Systems for accurate documentation.
• Prepare reports for management as required.
• Maintain a tickler system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Direct Endorsement required.
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years Mortgage Loan Underwriting experience with mortgage products, including conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans.
• Leadership experience a plus.
