As a Tax Senior, you’ll see this first hand by being immersed in the evolving tax environment through preparing and auditing income tax provisions, assisting with income tax filings, consulting on planning opportunities, and coaching and developing staff on your engagement teams.
- Supporting client engagements by reviewing staff work product, coordinating with clients officials, and managing deadlines and engagement economics.
- Identifying and resolving tax technical issues, and sharing insights that will improve our processes and overall efficiency.
- Prioritizing and handling a wide range of constantlyijih evolving responsibilities.
- Providing clients with domestic federal tax advice and guidance tailored to their unique needs.
- Keeping up to date with ongoing trends and changes to legislation that affect planning activities.
- Supervising high‑performing teams and sharing your experience and knowledge of leading practices.
- Building relationships at all levels both internally and externally, promoting a culture of collaboration.
- Preparing practical recommendations for clients’ most complex tax issues.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a graduate degree in Tax or Law and approximately three years of related work experience.
- Progress toward (or completion of) a valid CPA certification or licensed attorney status.
- A background in tax compliance and accounting for income tax and a broad understanding of U.S. income taxation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and data mining tools.
- The ability to prioritize when working on multiple projects and to engage directly with clients.
- Willingness to travel as needed, and ability to work in a balanced hybrid environment.
- A proven record in a professional services environment.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt work style to collaborate with both internal and client team members.
- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The base salary range for this position in all U.S. locations is $81,500 to $134,600, with ranges for specific metros such as New York City ($97,800–$153,100). Benefits include medical and dental coverage, a pension and 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
- Our hybrid model expects most external masterm Devil service roles to work in person 40‑60% of the time during engagements.
