Business Tax Services - Private Tax Manager - High Net Worth Individuals. The opportunity is within EY Private Tax, focusing on privately held companies and their owners and families, including high growth private enterprises, family-owned businesses, and private equity owned companies. EY supports cross-border and cross-functional teaming and offers development in technical tax knowledge, leadership, and business acumen.

• Researching tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies
• Translating complex data from a range of sources into client-ready insights and deliverables
• Building effective long-term relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs to provide a tailored service
• Communicating complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients
• Maintaining your reputation in your field by updating and sharing technical knowledge and best practices
• Managing, coaching and developing a team of tax professionals, reviewing work and ensuring they have the tools to excel
• Identifying risks and opportunities to improve our services and processes

• A bachelor's degree in a related field, with significant tax, business or financial planning experience
• A CPA certification or membership in The Bar
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization
• Experience with federal and state personal and trust taxation
• Experience with flow-through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs)
• Understanding of automated tax processing systems
• Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus
• A commitment to continuing learning
• Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills with the confidence to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders
• Willingness to travel as needed and to work in a balanced hybrid environment

• Experience coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to adapt work style to collaborate with internal and client team members

• Tax professionals with a genuine interest in providing outstanding services to influential clients, from C-Suite executives to owners and families, maintaining our reputation for excellence
