Quality Control Analyst II at SWBC Mortgage Corporation
SWBC is seeking a talented individual to develop and test the Quality Control Plan against department procedures, provide departmental risk analysis, and determine best practices that meet industry standards and guidelines.
Essential Duties- Develop comprehensive testing of all aspects of the SWBC Mortgage Quality Control plan.
- Evaluate and provide appropriate solutions for risk issues and present findings to Senior and Executive Management.
- Review the SWBC Mortgage Quality Control plan to ensure all investor requirements are addressed within the plan.
- Oversee the preparation or prepare responses to both internal and external business audits.
- Conduct internal testing with a focus on procedural efficiencies and regulatory and compliance standards for SWBC Mortgage.
- Implement processes and procedures as well as policy controls to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and reduce risk.
- Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in quality control or mortgage operations, including at least two (2) years as a Quality Control Analyst I or related experience.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Self‑starter with working knowledge of quality management fundamentals, data analysis, and policy creation.
- Ability to balance risk mitigation and operational efficiency.
- Strong analytical, organizational, time‑management, and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to handle multiple demands and priorities, take initiative, and work independently.
- Thorough understanding of underwriting policies and procedures, including investor guidelines and regulatory updates.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and high confidentiality.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to type at least 40 WPM accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- Able to sit for long periods analyzing mortgage loan processing data.
- Able to lift, push, pull, stoop, or kneel 10–20 lbs. of files or other loan processing documents.
