Summary:

MGR Accounting Recruiters, a Teamshares Network company, is seeking a Tax Director for a client in San Antonio.

As the Director of Tax, your responsibilities will include managing tax department functions such as preparing federal and multi-state income tax returns and supporting income tax provisions.

• Review federal and multi-state income and franchise tax returns, along with supporting work papers.
• Review quarterly estimated tax payments.
• Address and resolve tax notices and handle other tax-related matters.
• Prepare calculations for interim and annual income tax provisions.
• Provide tax information to various departments as needed.
• Ensure adherence to income tax processes and oversee internal controls.
• Collaborate with partners on tax planning and process improvements.
• Supervise a team of staff-level tax accountants.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Advanced degree focusing on U.S. taxation (preferred).
• CPA certification.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with consolidated U.S. federal and multi-state income tax returns and related accounting.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
