Position: Chemical Blending Facility Startup Consultant (Contract 60-90 Days)

This is a 60–90 day consulting engagement. Compensation will be structured as a project-based consulting rate.

Streamline Innovations is seeking an experienced chemical blending and manufacturing startup consultant to assist in the design validation, operational setup, and commissioning of a new chemical blending facility supporting oilfield operations. This engagement will focus on ensuring the blending facility is established safely, efficiently, and with the appropriate operational, quality, and traceability controls required to support long-term, scalable production. The consultant will work closely with the VP of Operations and operations leadership to implement best practices for chemical blending, batch control, contamination prevention, and startup commissioning.

This is a short-term, execution-focused engagement intended to accelerate facility readiness while minimizing operational, quality, and environmental risks.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience commissioning or operating chemical blending or specialty chemical manufacturing facilities, particularly within oilfield or industrial chemical environments. The candidate should bring a combination of process engineering knowledge, operational startup experience, and practical field execution capability.

PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK

Blending Facility Startup Consultant

Design validation, risk mitigation, SOP development, and commissioning oversight for Streamline’s chemical blending facility to ensure a safe, compliant, and scalable startup.

Job Duties
  • Evaluate blending facility design and recommend improvements for efficiency, safety, and scalability
  • Validate process flow diagrams and blending methodologies
  • Identify and mitigate potential process, environmental, or contamination risks
  • Develop standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for blending, batch control, and quality assurance
  • Establish SKU management and cross-contamination prevention protocols
  • Design batch traceability and documentation systems
  • Assist in developing quality control testing standards and laboratory procedures
  • Support commissioning of tanks, pumps, agitation systems, and transfer infrastructure
  • Provide operational training guidance for facility personnel
  • Deliver actionable recommendations to optimize blending operations and ensure long-term reliability

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in chemical blending, specialty chemical manufacturing, or industrial chemical operations
  • Direct experience starting up or commissioning chemical blending facilities or tank farms
  • Strong understanding of batch blending systems, agitation, pump selection, and material compatibility
  • Experience developing quality control frameworks and batch traceability systems
  • Familiarity with environmental and chemical storage regulations (SPCC, containment, handling protocols)
  • Experience implementing contamination prevention and SKU management systems
  • Ability to work directly with operations teams and translate engineering concepts into practical operating procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting and process optimization skills
  • Experience in oilfield chemicals, water treatment chemicals, or specialty industrial chemicals preferred

Work Environment - Conditions vary and include:

  • Controlled office environment.
  • Field work
  • Travel:
    Approximately 25% (travel to Odessa facility)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods of time

This short-term contract engagement is not eligible for participation in company-sponsored employee benefit programs.
