Job Description:

Mechanical Design Engineer San Antonio, TX-Onsite and fulltime only

Mon - Thrus - 10hrs each day Fri, Sat Sun Off

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with 5 8 years of experience to support mechanical design, tool development, CAD modeling, vendor coordination, and engineering project execution. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in AutoCAD, Solid Works, UG NX, and CATIA, along with experience collaborating with cross-functional and offshore teams.

Key Responsibilities Mechanical Design & Development " Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements for improvement initiatives.
" Develop 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and detailed specifications using AutoCAD, Solid Works, UG NX, and CATIA.
" Support prototyping, validation, and testing of designed tools, equipment, and engineering solutions.
" Collaborate with local vendors to manufacture designed components.
" Coordinate with local engineering teams to prioritize and execute small to large-scale engineering projects. Coordination & Communication " Act as the primary liaison between client teams and offshore engineering resources.
" Provide weekly progress updates, documentation, and status reports.
" Ensure seamless communication to align design, manufacturing, and project milestones. Required

Skills & Qualifications " Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
" 5 8 years of experience in mechanical design, tool design, or product development.
" Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Solid Works, UG NX, and CATIA.
" Experience in tooling, fixtures, jigs, and mechanical assemblies.
" Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
" Experience collaborating with vendors and supporting design-to-manufacturing processes.
" Excellent communication and documentation skills.
