Senior Estimator – Natural Gas Infrastructure & Heavy Civil Construction

$115,000 – $145,000 Base

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to support large-scale natural gas infrastructure and heavy civil construction projects. This role is responsible for leading full-cycle estimating efforts, developing accurate and competitive bids, and supporting strategic project growth initiatives. The position requires strong technical estimating expertise, industry knowledge, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with operations, engineering, and leadership teams.

This opportunity supports expansion into heavy industrial, water/wastewater, underground utilities, dry utilities, and energy-related infrastructure projects.

• Lead full lifecycle estimating for natural gas infrastructure and heavy civil projects, including takeoffs, pricing, subcontractor coordination, and bid submission
• Prepare cost estimates for large-scale projects ($50M+) including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and risk factors
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop accurate project estimates
• Partner with project management and engineering teams to evaluate scope and identify value engineering opportunities
• Conduct risk analysis and develop cost mitigation strategies
• Maintain awareness of labor rates, material pricing, and market trends
• Build and maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing
• Support post-bid reviews and assist with project handoff and transition to operations
• Contribute to strategic sourcing efforts and help identify project opportunities

• 10+ years of construction estimating experience
• 5+ years estimating large-scale projects valued at $50M or greater
• 5+ years of experience estimating heavy civil scopes including roadways, grading, underground utilities, DOT or municipal infrastructure projects
• Experience estimating natural gas infrastructure or utility-related construction strongly preferred
• Proficiency in at least one of the following required:
• AGTek experience preferred
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities

• Strong tenure and demonstrated stability in prior roles
• Self-driven, highly independent, and able to operate with minimal oversight
• Confident communicator who can collaborate cross-functionally and influence project strategy
• Highly motivated, assertive, and solution-focused mindset
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-performance construction environments
• Experience supporting municipal, DOT, or energy infrastructure projects preferred
