Manufacturing Planner – Lead Precision & Performance on Second Shift
Location: San Antonio, TX
Type: Full-Time, Consultant (9 Months)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM (Second Shift)
Pay Range: $40 to $50 per hour
Role OverviewPDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Planner (Level
3) to support a major aerospace industry partner. In this role, you will drive production readiness, improve manufacturability, and support timely delivery of critical aerospace components. Your technical expertise and planning accuracy will directly shape manufacturing success.
As a Manufacturing Planner, you will play a key role in bridging engineering, suppliers, and production teams through:
- Creating and maintaining manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials, work instructions, and visual documentation.
- Defining and documenting as?built configurations.
- Supporting mechanics by interpreting engineering drawings, specs, and planning details.
- Integrating suppliers, processes, materials, and technologies to meet production and delivery requirements.
- Reviewing and approving supplier data to ensure manufacturing compliance.
- Developing tooling requirements and managing tooling lifecycle from design to disposition.
- Investigating and resolving manufacturing?related issues.
- Conducting producibility assessments and providing improvement input to design and process teams.
- Developing integrated work statements, production sequences, and workflows.
- Drafting, updating, and reviewing processes and procedures for business and regulatory compliance.
- Operating with general direction while driving measurable outcomes.
- 5+ years of Manufacturing Planner experience
- 5+ years of experience with CAD software
- Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings and specifications
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret engineering data
- Understanding of manufacturing engineering processes
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to obtain customer approval for access (dual/previous citizenship may affect eligibility)
- Must pass a comprehensive background check (finance, residence, employment, drug history, military service, criminal history)
- Regular and predictable attendance required
- Education/
Experience: - Associate degree plus 3+ years of related experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree plus 1+ year, or
- 5+ years of directly related experience
- Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
- This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies:
1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or
2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
- Previous Planner experience
- Experience with Gold ESP and MESCI
- Familiarity with IVT, REDARS, and WIRS

Pay Details$40.00 to $50.00 per hour
