- Lead mechanical design of industrial control panel enclosures, skids, cabinets, and integrated mechanical assemblies.
- Maintain and improve internal engineering standards and best practices.
- Partner with Project Managers, Electrical Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers through technical guidance and design reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, standardization, and manufacturability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production.
- Lead and oversee the design of custom generator enclosures and integrated power distribution systems.
- Structural & HVAC Integration:
Collaborate across disciplines to ensure structural and cooling systems are optimized for durability, safety, and efficiency. - Material & Component Strategy:
Specify materials and components to align geographic and environmental considerations. - Documentation & Compliance:
Produce detailed design packages including drawings, bill of materials, and technical documentation; ensure adherence to regulatory and quality standards. - Client
Collaboration:
Serve as a primary technical interface with clients throughout the lifecycle of each project. - Project Management:
Drive engineering schedules and coordinate cross‑functional teams to meet milestones. - Mentorship:
Lead design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and uphold rigorous quality assurance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years collaborating with mission critical custom enclosures.
- Expertise in mechanical design within commercial or industrial construction settings
- Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD (3D), and related engineering design tools
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
