ResponsibilitiesJoining our Aviation team means an opportunity to explore your potential and apply your diverse skills to serve the large and small airports of the aviation industry as a trusted advisor. Service areas include airfields, environmental planning, and environmental stewardship & resiliency. Work in a collaborative and team‑oriented environment among other driven professionals. Your key tasks include:
- Support project execution from concept through construction—airfield design, pavement, utilities, terminals, and infrastructure
- Oversee design teams, manage quality assurance, and track financial performance
- Coordinate with airports, airlines, FAA, and stakeholders across South Texas
- Prepare project plans, specifications, and technical reports
- Mentor junior engineers and foster collaborative team culture
- Apply technical expertise to solve complex design challenges and make independent decisions on aviation design matters
- Build confidence leading projects of varying scope and complexity
- Support business development and client relationship management, contribute to proposals and strategic initiatives, strengthen client loyalty, and represent RS&H at regional industry events
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program
- 5+ years of civil design experience, with 2+ years in aviation
- Texas PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Strong technical knowledge of aviation design fundamentals
- Experience with aviation plans and technical specifications
- Proven ability to lead small to moderate‑sized projects
- Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
