Fire Alarm Designer

• Our client is a growing Fire Protection company with 8 offices across the US. From complex builds to fast-paced schedules, they have delivered on projects of every size while building strong, lasting partnerships across the industry.

  Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.

Our client has an office in San Antonio where this role will be based out of.

• Perform on site surveys
• Prepare fire alarm drawings using AutoCAD based on working both site visits and architectural prints
• Calculate, design and coordinate a project from beginning to end
• Coordinate technical documents with other disciplines/contractors
• Modify and/or create processes to ensure consistent production and document control
• Assist superintendents and field personnel on system and code applications
• Assist sales department with system configuration, specification review and code applications for estimating projects
• Maintain project drawing files and records

• Strong knowledge of industry codes such as IFC, NFPA, IBC, and NEC
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical and mechanical drawings
• Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
• Ability to work in a fast-paced service/construction team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to travel as needed
• 75% Office Setting / 25% on Site Visits

• Minimum of 3 years of experience within the fire sector required
