As a Project Engineer, you will plan, direct, and coordinate construction activities for civil industrial projects such as wastewater pump stations, water reclamation facilities, and large-scale utility projects - primarily Water/Wastewater Treatment plant construction but also factories/production facilities, data centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and understand plans and specifications.
  • Inspect construction sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the submittal process and working drawings requirements.
  • Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, environmental impact studies, and designs as necessary.
  • Maintain and update project schedules with the Project Superintendent.
  • Understand and manage cost and productivity data.
  • Analyze and monitor job costs and production budgets.
  • Prepare and submit monthly cost, income, and cash flow projections.
  • Execute and approve subcontractor requisitions and vendor invoices.
  • Coordinate and assist in the settlement of change orders and claims.
  • Ensure subcontractor insurance certificate compliance.
  • Promote and participate in planning with the job team.
  • Consistently apply and enforce safety policies.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred or equivalent technical training and related experience.
  • 5+ years of related field experience in Heavy Industrial projects.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient with spreadsheet and word processing programs, CPM scheduling programs (e.g., Primavera Project Planner), and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using cost and productivity data.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from managers, clients, and the public.
  • Problem‑solving skills and the ability to handle abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in various formats.
