Manager, Project Engineering – Solar & Energy Storage (San Antonio, TX)

We are partnering with a leading renewable energy developer to hire a Manager, Project Engineering. This role will oversee the technical aspects of utility scale solar and energy storage projects, ensuring designs, studies, and engineering deliverables meet quality, regulatory, and schedule requirements. The Manager will work closely with EPC contractors, internal project teams, and external partners to resolve technical issues and support successful project execution.

• Lead technical review of project design packages (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC), studies, and analyses for utility scale solar and energy storage projects.
• Review contracts and project documentation to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, suppliers, and consultants to resolve technical issues during project development and construction.
• Support project teams in responding to RFIs and NCRs.
• Ensure alignment of engineering deliverables with project schedules, milestones, and budgets.
• Identify technical risks and propose solutions to maintain project performance and schedule.
• Collaborate cross functionally with project management, procurement, and operations teams.

• 3+ years of experience in utility scale solar and/or energy storage engineering.
• Experience providing technical oversight for at least 5 major solar or BESS projects.
• Strong understanding of utility scale project design and construction processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Travel as needed to project sites.
