Fully onsite, M-F 8 am to 5 pm

Contract:

6 months contract to hire

Overview

Join our team as a Telecom Drafter, where you will play a key role in developing precise CAD drawings for telecom construction projects in both aerial and underground environments. We provide a supportive workplace with excellent management and a welcoming, collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

Draft and support engineering teams in the creation of detailed CAD drawings for telecom construction projects, focusing on both aerial and underground outside plant (OSP) work.

• Review project requirements and translate field survey data into accurate CAD designs for telecom carrier construction.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, surveyors, and field teams to ensure all drawings meet project and regulatory standards.
• Update and maintain drawing records as projects progress and respond to redlines or mark-ups from the engineering team.
• Support onsite project needs and occasionally participate in field survey work to validate or gather data.
• Adhere to project deadlines, maintaining a detail-oriented approach to all assigned tasks.
• Engage proactively in continuous learning and skill development initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of professional experience drafting telecom construction drawings for both aerial and underground (OSP) projects using CAD software.

• Direct experience in telecom fiber routes, pole lines, conduit pathways, and associated outside plant infrastructure drafting.
• Field survey experience for telecom projects required.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering documents, construction drawings, and survey data.
• Strong attention to detail with high standards for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborative team player with a willingness to learn and contribute.
