Principal Water/Wastewater Conveyance Engineer
Join Arcadis as a Principal Water/Wastewater Conveyance Engineer, based in San Antonio, TX or Austin, TX, to lead teams and grow expertise in water/wastewater conveyance design and construction support services.

Role accountabilities- Manage a diverse portfolio of projects across the region, coordinating multi‑disciplined engineering teams to deliver outstanding results.
- Oversee project budgets, delivery schedules, and ensure all deliverables are met.
- Provide technical leadership in planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater systems, lift stations, and pumping stations.
- Prepare construction documents, develop specifications, and manage construction oversight and administration.
- Play a key role in client development activities, supporting positioning, capture strategies, proposals, and presentations.
- Collaborate with Area Leaders and client Account Leaders to define project scopes, fee estimates, manage risks, and ensure profitable delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, support others, and ensure compliance with Arcadis practices, quality, and safety standards.
- Travel locally up to 10% for project site visits and client meetings.
- Strong technical engineering background with proven experience delivering water and wastewater conveyance design projects.
- Track record in client development, pursuing proposals, and securing new projects.
- Skilled in delivering technical presentations and contributing effectively during project pursuit interviews.
- Highly organized with attention to detail, flexible, and able to collaborate across local and remote teams.
- Experience negotiating, managing, and successfully delivering projects with fees of $1 million or more.
- 12+ years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- PE License in Texas (or ability to obtain TX PE within 6 months).
- 20+ years of related industry experience.
- Master’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.

Salary range: $113,933 – $193,696.
