Overview

Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve manufacturing processes for existing products and new product introductions. This role focuses on process design, continuous improvement, PFMEA, and production support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Manufacturing Engineer (PFMEA)

San Antonio, TX

Contract-to-Hire

$30–$32/hr

• Design and improve manufacturing processes, including layouts, tooling, fixtures, gauging, and documentation
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Lead capital equipment, cost-out, VA/VE, Kaizen, and safety initiatives
• Evaluate new product designs for manufacturability and support NPI efforts
• Qualify new or modified products through assigned manufacturing processes

• BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Experience supporting assembly/manufacturing operations
• Strong knowledge of PFMEA, GD&T, tooling, fixtures, MSA, and capability studies
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD
• Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills

• Experience with automated torque tools, robotic welding, or CNC tube bending
• Knowledge of ASME welding standards
• Six Sigma Black Belt or demonstrated process improvement experience
• Background in concurrent engineering environments
