Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer to join our Public Infrastructure team. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. A Civil Graduate Engineer is expected to work on a team providing support to licensed Civil Engineers while learning the company’s standard practices and local agency codes.
The Civil Graduate Engineer will spend time involved in public infrastructure projects doing technical calculations, plan and specification production, and assisting in project management tasks. In pursuit of a Professional Engineering license, the applicant needs to be organized, self‑motivated, and possess the ability to collaboratively solve complex issues on time and within budget.

- Assist project team in design of public infrastructure work
- Assist project team in preparation of construction drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents.
- Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations.
- Prepare various exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, and Micro Stations.
- Coordinate with agency staff and internal support teams on designs, analysis, and issues.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to develop calculations in Excel, reports and letters in Word, and presentations in PowerPoint.
- Assist with construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D and/or Micro Stations, including grading plans, profiles, and construction details.
- Outgoing, friendly, approachable team player.
- Strong communication skills with team members and clients, demonstrates active listening techniques.
- Proficient in computer software (Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Micro Stations, Outlook, Microsoft Project).
- Competent technical skills required to complete engineering tasks.
- Ability to be open to others’ ideas and willing to compromise.
- Detail‑oriented, yet flexible enough to see the big picture and conceptualize solutions.
- Good reputation among peers, clients, and agencies.
- Able to follow general directions and guidelines for the firm’s policies, practices, and procedures.
- Capable of working independently and within a collaborative environment.
- Organized, self‑motivated, and capable of collaborating with licensed Civil Engineers to learn company standards and local agency codes.
- Committed to pursuing a Professional Engineering license.
