As a vital member of our Aviation Advisory team, you’ll have the chance to work on challenging projects where we’ll depend on your specialized expertise, professional judgement and independent problem‑solving capability in planning, coordinating and monitoring defined aspects of programs and projects.
You’ll grow professionally with us because we’ll rise together on impactful projects with a high degree of technical complexity from concept stage through detailed design, construction, operational readiness, and asset management services. You’ll be supporting and coordinating multidiscipline design, construction, ORAT, and consulting teams to complete tasks within established schedules, scopes and budgets while supporting business development strategies. You will contribute to growing a resilient, multidiscipline Aviation business by supporting client satisfaction, project performance and team effectiveness. Aviation market contributions will include business planning, strategy development, and quarterly reviews. Responsibilities- Manage external clients and stakeholders, as well as internal staff to complete work on‑time and within budget, including interfacing with teams working on other airport programs/projects.
- Coordinate design, construction, and operational readiness activities with airport clients, consultants, stakeholders, and airlines.
- Oversee interdisciplinary teams and provide review and guidance to project team during development of project deliverables.
- Participate in and support planning, ramp up and execution of the various elements Operational Readiness, Activation and Transition Programs.
- Assist with management of ORAT programs using reporting tools, such as SharePoint, Risk Registers;
Issue Logs, Dashboards, Microsoft Office, etc. - Present regular update to team members and clients.
- When necessary, coordinate projects with regulatory agencies and serve as a liaison between clients and agencies.
- Mentor other aviation staff.
- Assist a strategy to establish Jacobs as a leader in Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Identify, track, and develop potential sales opportunities.
- Assist with proposal development and participate in interviews and presentations.
- Take an active role and participation in US aviation industry trade organizations (ACC, ACI, AAAE, ASCE, etc.).
- Bachelor of Science degree in a related field.
- 10 years or more of professional aviation experience.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to relate to both technical staff and external clients.
- Excellent communication and team building skills, including strong technical writing skills.
- Working at multiple commercial and general aviation airports in North America.
- Ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously.
- Managing consultants, contractors, and program managers.
- Previous experience as project manager or project engineer on multiple projects.
