Technician – Job Description
Support the fabrication, assembly, and testing of avionics electronic systems. This includes the assembly and disassembly of line‑replaceable units and circuit card assemblies. You will troubleshoot and repair circuit card assemblies, and operate test equipment such as digital multimeters (DMM), oscilloscopes, and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE). You must handle and test delicate and ESD‑sensitive circuit card assemblies with care.
Responsibilities- Fabricate, assemble, and test avionics electronic systems.
- Assemble and disassemble line‑replaceable units and circuit card assemblies.
- Troubleshoot and repair circuit card assemblies.
- Operate test equipment including DMM, oscilloscopes, and ATE.
- Handle and test delicate and ESD‑sensitive circuit card assemblies.
- Experience with electronics, IPC standards, assembly, and wire harness assembly.
- Knowledge of avionics PCBs, printed circuit boards, and Certified Interconnect Design (CID).
- Proficiency in soldering, specifically on printed wiring assemblies and cable harnesses.
- 2+ years of experience working on boards.
- IPC certification.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School diploma required.
- Previous NASA certification or IPC‑J‑STD‑001 training preferred.
- Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology is preferred.
- Experience with MIL‑Spec and Mentor Graphics PADS is beneficial.
This role is based in a lab and desk setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
