Location: San Antonio, TX (Travel required)
Professional Engineer Balance Lab, LLC (PEBL) is seeking a Test, Adjust & Balance (TAB) Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who values accuracy, takes pride in their work, and wants a clear path for professional growth in the HVAC testing and commissioning industry.

What You’ll Do- Perform HVAC testing activities including airflow, static pressure, and hydronic measurements
- Work in active construction environments alongside general contractors and trade partners
- Document accurate field data using mobile applications and standardized forms
- Read and interpret construction drawings and schedules
- Care for and maintain sensitive testing instrumentation
- Travel to local and out-of-town job sites as required (per diem provided)
- Support team members and assist with jobsite execution as needed
- Occasionally work evenings, nights, or weekends to meet project schedules
- On time and prepared every day (7:00 a.m. start standard)
- Accurate, defensible test data with minimal rework
- Professional communication on every jobsite
- Proactive mindset—helping the team succeed, not just completing tasks
- Continuous learning and improvement
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn HVAC systems
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working on ladders and carrying equipment
- Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed per IRS rate)
- Personal hand tools (basic technician tools)
- Integrity, accountability, and a strong work ethic
TAB or HVAC experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate with the right mindset.
Compensation & Growth- Hourly pay: $18–$36+ per hour (based on experience and responsibility level)
