Overview

Graduate Engineer II at LJA Land Development, performing entry-level professional engineering work including developmental assignments involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under close supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Design specific system components for the overall design effort.
  • Perform design calculations, prepare equipment or material specifications, and provide direction to technical support or drafting personnel.
  • Investigate a limited number of variables; supervisory assistance is provided on unusual problems and possible solutions.
  • Determine additional information needed from internal clients and coordinate directly with LJA.
  • Make basic decisions regarding alternative procedures when information is not given.
  • Apply prescribed methods to complete limited and specific portions of the broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Adjust and correlate data.
  • Recognize discrepancies in results and follow operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
  • May exercise limited judgment in making preliminary method selections and adopting alternatives.
Required Education / Licenses
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
  • EIT License required.
Required Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in Land Development
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships
Ideally, you should also have
  • Experience working on multi-family land development projects.
