Heating Air Conditioning Designer – Jacobs

Location:

San Antonio, TX – Remote flexible options available.

Base salary range: $ – $ per year. Individual pay is determined by location, experience and job‑related skills.

• Design and develop HVAC systems for heavy industrial, specialty chemical and electric vehicle manufacturing facilities.
• Prepare detailed construction documents, including calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and general arrangement drawings.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary engineering teams to coordinate HVAC, plumbing and utility systems.
• Perform field investigations, client and vendor interface, equipment sizing, selection and construction package preparation.
• Ensure technical quality, schedule adherence and cost effectiveness of engineering tasks.

• Minimum ten (10) years of HVAC design experience in industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit and strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Excellent collaboration skills and remote project team coordination capability.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700/3D is an advantage.
• Background in plumbing/utility system design is a plus.
