Position Summary
Gas Engineering - Coordinates and designs gas system improvement/renewal projects; civic improvement projects; and gas main extensions and service installations/upgrades/remodels for residential, commercial and industrial customers.
Tasks and Responsibilities- Conducts field surveys
- Develops job sketches using Designer/GIS
- Develops construction job packages specifying material, equipment and labor requirements for each job
- Obtains easements and acquires permits
- Performs other duties as assigned
Ability to meet goals and objectives with minimal direct supervision.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel.
Initiative to work independently or as a member of a team, coordinating with others to achieve desired results.
Ability to work in a variety of locations such as the field, construction centers and the main office.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling.
Ability to set priorities, organize work and make occasional exceptions.
Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with customers and support teams.
Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Associate degree in Science with a concentration in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or related field from an accredited university

- Relative experience in supporting utility construction & maintenance.
