Duration: 6 months contract to hire

Pay Rate: $38

Working Hours: M-F 7:00AM-3:30PM (10 hours of overtime expected)

Must Haves:

• At least 6 years of electrician experience
• Minimum journeyman's electrician license
• Commercial experience

Plusses:

• Revit or Navisworks modeling experience

An employer in the San Antonio, TX area is looking for a VDC (virtual design and construction) Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, hold a journeyman's or master electrician license, and possess basic computer knowledge. The main software's used are Revit and Navisworks. As a VDC Technician, you will be responsible for virtually designing electrical installations for new and existing commercial construction projects.

This position can pay between $70,000 to $80,000 depending on experience.

• Develop and manage virtual models of electrical systems for commercial construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient designs.
• Utilize software tools to create detailed electrical layouts, schematics, and diagrams.
• Review and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and other technical documents.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts and issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team during the installation phase.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of design changes and updates.
