Department OverviewThe Department of Management in the Carlos Alvarez College of Business at the University of Texas at San Antonio consists of 40 tenure/tenure‑track and fixed‑term‑track faculty members and offers undergraduate degrees in management and human resources and a doctoral degree in management and organization studies. Our faculty and students have been recognized regionally, nationally, and internationally for excellence in both research and teaching.

The Alvarez College of Business, Department of Management is seeking to identify multiple qualified applicants to fill vacancies for the upcoming academic semester (Fall 2026). Courses may include introduction to Management, Human Resources Management, Strategy, and other related fields. The specific hiring needs each semester vary.

Please note, a terminal degree is highly preferred for graduate course instruction due to accreditation requirements.
Instructors are expected to ensure key learning objectives identified by the department chair and course coordinator are met through classroom instruction and instructional materials. Instructors may personalize their course’s curriculum to capitalize on their subject matter expertise. Critical thinking and experiential learning should feature prominently in each course.

Qualifications Required Qualifications- Master’s degree or higher in business administration, management, leadership, or a related field relative to courses of interest.
- One or more years of in‑person teaching and/or work experience in one or more of the areas of specialization including management, human resources, strategy, or other related fields.
- Selected candidate will need to be able to teach on‑campus for a minimum of one hour per week per course.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
- A doctoral degree in management, leadership, business administration or related field.
- Five years of teaching and/or work experience in one or more of the areas of specialization including management, human resources, strategy, or other related fields.
