The Mexican American Catholic College's mission is to empower and educate leaders for service in a culturally diverse Church and society by offering a biliterate, multicultural formation program that can lead to a college degree in Pastoral Ministry.

Summary:

MACC invites qualified applications for the grant-funded position of Project Coordinator of Stabilitas:
Renewing Rural Ministry. The coordinator will also serve as Professor of Practical Theology (open-rank), teaching two courses per semester while managing the project. This five-year grant aims to build the capacity of rural dioceses to invest in the formation of permanent deacons and lay ecclesial ministers, in partnership with Saint John's School of Theology and Seminary (SOT/Sem).

Directly supporting the Director of the Stabilitas project at Saint John's SOT/Sem, the principal responsibilities of the Project Coordinator include collaboration with representatives of partner dioceses, assessment of formation needs throughout the upper midwestern states, curriculum and/or program design, and assessment of best practices for ministerial accompaniment. The position requires administrative coordination, managing all subgrant budgets and activities, supporting recruitment for MACC and Saint John's collaborative ministry formation programming, and providing annual reports to the Lilly Endowment, Inc.

Seasoned experience in lay ecclesial ministry formation, and/or diaconal formation, as well as immersive ministry experience in multicultural, rural settings, is preferred.

As a faculty member, the coordinator will also teach 2 courses per semester in MACC's core curriculum. Teaching assignments will depend on one's area of specialization but may include Moral Theology, Catechesis, Spirituality, Pastoral Care and Mental Health Ministry, Intercultural Competencies, and/or Rural Ministry. The total teaching assignment will be no more than four courses distributed between fall and spring semesters.

Reporting directly to the Academic Dean while working closely with the Senior Director of Programs, the coordinator will advance the ecclesial mission of MACC and Saint John's School of Theology and Seminary, contributing to the growth of their programs at a national level.

This position is grant-funded through 2030, is subject to change, and may be impacted by external factors.

Position Responsibilities:

Working in collaboration with the Stabilitas Director at Saint John's School of Theology and Seminary, the Project Coordinator will:

* * Accompany grant partners (dioceses convened by Saint John's SOT/Sem), co-leading a formation council to assess ministry needs and participating in administrative sessions with key stakeholders.

* * Identify pathways to collaboration/enrollment of partners at MACC and in the Saint John's SOT/Sem's formation offerings.

* * Produce programming and curriculum as related to the grant narrative in collaboration with the Academic Dean; develop resources for partner dioceses.

* * Manage subgrant budget, continuous assessment of grant activities, and external reporting to the Lilly Endowment.

* * Use all the technological tools available for the Church and professional training markets, especially tailored online teaching.

* * Maintain regular communication with the Saint John's Project Director regarding all aspects of the project, including curriculum, student performance, and engagement of key administrative stakeholders at Saint John's and MACC.
