Job DescriptionThe Department of Curriculum & Instruction in the College of Education and Human Development seeks applications for a full‑time non‑tenure‑track appointment beginning fall of 2026. The appointment is for a Clinical Assistant Professor of Curriculum & Instruction. A regional comprehensive university, Texas A&M University‑San Antonio (A&M‑SA) has approximately 8,000 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs. Part of the statewide Texas A&M University System.
Quality performance will be expected in the area of teaching and service. The standard teaching load for a Clinical Assistant Professor is 4 courses per semester (4/4). Summer teaching assignments may be available for additional pay but are not guaranteed. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses in general topics of education such as pedagogy, curriculum, classroom management, and content methods courses.
Teaching assignments may include day, night, and/or weekend classes.
Education and Experience
- Doctoral Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Curriculum & Instruction or a related field in education
- K‑12 teacher certification with a minimum of 5 years of K‑12 teaching experience
- University teaching experience for a minimum of 3 years

- Experience using learning management systems
