Special Education Coordinator – $50/hr – San Antonio, TX – Full-Time
Position Overview:Amergis is seeking a Special Education Coordinator to support special education and 504 services for students in grades K–12. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, this role provides leadership in program implementation, compliance oversight, staff support, and parent communication. The Coordinator will assist with special instruction planning, tutorial support, and collaboration with general education teams to ensure high-quality services for all students.

Key Responsibilities:Oversee all special education and 504 program compliance
Facilitate and lead IEP and 504 meetings
Provide mentorship, training, and professional development to campus staff
Address parent and campus concerns related to special education services
Support planning and implementation of instructional programs
Manage documentation and ensure adherence to timelines and state regulations
Utilize platforms such as Frontline/ESPED for IEP and 504 management
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Valid state teaching certificate
Special Education certification (preferred)
LBS1 endorsement (preferred)
One year of teaching experience preferred
CPR certification (if applicable)
TB screening and health clearance (if applicable)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Hourly Rate: $50/hr**
