Overview
Hallmark University is seeking to hire an Adjunct Business Statistics Instructor to join our College of Business. We are looking for dedicated professionals who bring strong academic preparation, industry knowledge, and a commitment to high-quality, practitioner-focused education.
Our adjunct instructors teach courses that meet once or twice a week for eight weeks. Instruction is delivered through a blended format that combines face-to-face classroom interaction with online components such as discussions, assignments, and supplemental learning tools. Adjunct teaching opportunities are assigned on a course-by-course basis, with potential for ongoing teaching assignments based on performance and program needs.
Essential Functions- Develop and provide students with an approved Hallmark University syllabus that follows the University’s templates and includes terminal course objectives.
- Organize, prepare, and regularly revise course materials to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Utilize appropriate educational technologies, including online learning systems, discussion platforms, email, and instructional software.
- Model strong oral and written communication skills that promote engagement, clarity, and improved student learning.
- Set and communicate clear course expectations, including assignment due dates, examination schedules, and grading criteria.
- Ensure examinations and assessments align directly with stated course learning objectives.
- Grade assignments consistently and fairly while providing timely, constructive feedback to students.
- Strong subject matter expertise in Business Statistics and related quantitative disciplines.
- Ability to teach effectively in a diverse, nontraditional, and fast-paced academic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and support student success.
- Additional qualifications required by state, accrediting bodies, or program standards may apply.
Required:
- Master’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field (or equivalent).
Preferred:
- PhD, DBA, or terminal degree in a related field.
- College-level teaching experience and/or significant industry experience involving statistical analysis or data-driven decision-making.
