Position Summary
Student Ambassadors within the School of Rehabilitation Sciences ( SRS ) assist with campus tours, administrative duties, event preparation, and student recruitment. Student Ambassadors report to the Director of Enrollment with some supervision from the Admissions Recruiter.
Essential Functions
- Give prospective students and visitors tours of The School of Rehabilitation Sciences.
- Provide efficient customer service to all prospective students and visitors.
- Assist with events which includes preparation, set-up, day of event assistance, and clean-up.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Represent the school at recruitment events as schedule permits.
- Assist with UIW SRS social media. Includes posting to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and taking photos at events.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Knowledge
Skills and Abilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to details.
- Solid computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA .
- Currently enrolled full-time and in good standing in a program housed within the UIW School of Rehabilitation Sciences.
- Must maintain enrollment full-time during employment periods including summer semesters.
Experience working with the public.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience giving campus tours.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
N/A.
Work Hours
- Approximately 5 hours per week between scheduled classes.
- Some evening and weekend hours may be required for interviews and special events.
- Ability to lift approximately 20 lbs.
- Ability to speak communicate both face to face and on the phone.
- Ability to operative standard office equipment.
