Special Education Teacher – $45/hr – San Antonio, TX – In-Person – 20 Weeks
Position OverviewWe are seeking Special Education Teachers to provide quality services to students in grades 6–12. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, this role involves planning and implementing individualized programs, providing special instruction, and collaborating with general education staff to support student success.

37.5 per week (30‑min unpaid lunch) - Duration: 20 weeks

- Design and deliver individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals using differentiated strategies.
- Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes academic growth and social‑emotional development.
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, and general education staff to ensure consistent support and progress monitoring.
- Implement behavior‑support plans, data‑driven interventions, and evidence‑based practices to foster positive behavior and independence.
- Grades 6–12
- Mostly resource support for upper school students
- Valid Texas Special Education certification covering assigned grade levels (required)
- Generalist/Core Content Area certifications (required)
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of Special Education teaching experience in a school setting (preferred for agency candidates)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X‑ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
