Job Description

The Multilingual Education Specialist leads the campus multilingual program, providing instructional coaching on sheltered instruction, monitoring compliance, and delivering English Language Development instruction to emerging bilingual students.

Role Responsibilities
  • Use campus data to prioritize courses and teachers for EB academic improvement.
  • Lead professional learning for teachers and staff, including coaching cycles, lesson internalizations, and campus‑wide professional development.
  • Monitor and support teachers’ use of content‑based language instruction strategies.
  • Supervise case‑management activities: LPACs, TELPAS/TELPAS ALT, parent engagement, and ELDA courses.
  • Build strong relationships with emerging bilingual students across the campus and facilitate parent, family, and community events.
Qualifications
  • Bstasch’s degree (required).
  • At least two years teaching Multilingual Learners (Content or Pull‑Out ESL or Bilingual Program).
  • At least two years experience as an LPAC member.
  • Specialized training in fortalanguage Acquisition (Shelกร Instruction, SIOP, Biliteracy, Content‑Based oameni Language Instruction).
  • Strong record of advancing multilingual students’ content and language skills.
  • Texas teacher license with an ESL or Bilingual Education endorsement.

  • Ability to move around the school during the work day.
  • Expected to attend conferences, meetings, and training sessions both virtually and in person within the region.
