Job Description:
The Business Programs department at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio seeks a part-time Adjunct Management Instructor beginning Fall 2022 term (August 2022).
The course(s) to be taught:
Undergraduate and/or Graduate courses in Management such as Production/Operations Management and General Business. Ability to teach a course in Data Analytics is preferred.
Prepare syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments as appropriate to the course under the supervision of a lead professor who will provide a sample syllabus and select the textbook(s) for the course. Be available for individual student assistance (outside class time) at least one hour per week per section, and/or respond to telephone or electronic communication from students within 24-48 hours.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Management or 18 semester graduate hours in Management at a minimum.
- Preferred - Ph.D. in Management
- Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Management.
- Professional experience and/or credentials related to Human Resource Management, Supply Chain Management, Quality Initiatives, or other management-related professional credentials are a plus.
- Significant industry experience is preferred.
- Available to teach in a variety of modalities: face to face classes or online classes.
- Available to teach Face to Face classes in the following formats: traditional day classes, evening classes, or weekend classes.
- Prior experience working or teaching in one or more of the topic areas and course formats described.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching, student-centeredness, and (where applicable) classroom use of technology.
