Dean of Students – Middle School
BASIS Shavano is seeking qualified candidates for the Dean of Students - Middle School role.
Responsibilities- Support teachers to resolve differences in communication with parents and students.
- Organize student arrival and dismissal.
- Organize and review results of assessments for new students, state‑required assessments, and the BASIS Comprehensive or Curriculum Gains program.
- Review progress reports and mid‑semester reports.
- Organize and execute student academic and behavior support.
- Maintain student discipline and follow through with documentation.
- Communicate and meet with parents regarding student performance and/or conduct.
- Participate in the development of academic and student schedules.
- Participate in the planning and execution of standardized assessments.
- Support teachers in building positive relationships with parents.
- Participate in all faculty and staff meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in a school setting (charter or independent preferred).
- Behavior management or relevant experience preferred.
