BASIS San Antonio Shavano is currently seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals for teaching positions. Because we are hiring proactively, interviews and hiring decisions may be taken on a rolling basis and could continue into early summer.

• Creating and implementing engaging lesson plans.
• Assessing student performance and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Preparing and facilitating subject-specific lesson plans as a Subject Expert Teacher (SET).
• Implementing the established BASIS Curriculum while tailoring content to your expertise.
• Collaborating with other teachers to further develop curriculum and build a professional learning community.
• Tutoring students in content-specific knowledge and skills.
• Managing student behavior to foster academic achievement and personal responsibility.
• Supporting recognition of non-instructional functions such as Early Bird, Late Bird, and lunch.
• Maintaining regular, full, predictable attendance.
• Supervising individual students or groups of students.

• Bachelor’s degree in subject matter (or 24+ credit hours in applicable subject matter with another degree).
• Valid Identity-Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Master’s degree in subject matter or education.
• 2+ years of teaching/education experience.
