BASIS San Antonio Shavano is currently seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals for teaching positions. Because we are hiring proactively, interviews and hiring decisions may be taken on a rolling basis and could continue into early summer.
Key Responsibilities- Creating and implementing engaging lesson plans.
- Assessing student performance and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Preparing and facilitating subject-specific lesson plans as a Subject Expert Teacher (SET).
- Implementing the established BASIS Curriculum while tailoring content to your expertise.
- Collaborating with other teachers to further develop curriculum and build a professional learning community.
- Tutoring students in content-specific knowledge and skills.
- Managing student behavior to foster academic achievement and personal responsibility.
- Supporting recognition of non-instructional functions such as Early Bird, Late Bird, and lunch.
- Maintaining regular, full, predictable attendance.
- Supervising individual students or groups of students.
- Bachelor’s degree in subject matter (or 24+ credit hours in applicable subject matter with another degree).
- Valid Identity-Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Master’s degree in subject matter or education.
- 2+ years of teaching/education experience.
