Employment Type:

Contract Duration:  Minimum 13 weeks (potential to extend)

Shifts per Week:  5 (Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm)

Shift Length:  8-hour days

Patient Volume:  16–24 patients per day

Family Medicine Physician Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Family Medicine Physician or Internal Medicine Physician

MD or DO degree with completed residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Active Texas medical license (no sanctions)

Board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

DEA, NPI, and current CPR/BLS certification required

ECFMG certification (if applicable)

Compliance with HHSC immunization, drug testing, fingerprinting, and required training

Primary Care Physician Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including medical histories, physical exams, assessments, and diagnostic evaluations

Deliver comprehensive medical services to patients with complex medical and behavioral health needs

Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies

Develop and manage individualized disease management plans

Document examinations, treatment plans, and prescriptions in the EMR system

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance

Treat minor injuries for state employees as needed

Support disaster response and recovery efforts when required
