  • MD / DO degree from an accredited Medical School
  • Board certification or board eligibility in primary specialty
  • Current, active license to practice in Texas
  • Current, unrestricted DEA

As a Physician, you'll work as part of an integrated health team to provide and ensure continuity of care as you develop and implement patient care management plans.

Patient Care
  • Evaluates patients; obtains / studies medical histories; documents patient and clinic records
  • Interviews patients; understands patient medical history, assess physical health; examines as needed
  • Evaluates effectiveness of current care methods and procedures and suggest improvements
  • Educates / counsels patients; explains treatment plan; promotes physical health and wellness
  • Orders laboratory and radiology tests; refers patients to specialists as appropriate
  • Prescribes / administers / dispenses medications and treatment regimens in compliance with state and federal statutes
  • Discusses potential side effects of medication / treatment; ensures all allergy information is up-to-date
  • Complies / ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, and infection control protocols and policies
  • Maintains professional / technical knowledge; reviews professional journals; establishes personal network; participates in professional associations
  • Collaborates with clinic staff to recommend / improve patient care practices, and clinic guidelines and workflow
  • Ensures adherence to HIPAA regulations
Background
  • MD / DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in primary medical specialty
  • Current, active license to practice in Texas
  • Current, unrestricted DEA
  • Current BLS certification by an approved American Heart Association organization
