Position Overview
As a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) at Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics, you work under the guidance of a Lead RDA and a dentist, performing chairside assistance, patient care, laboratory tasks, and administrative duties. You also receive cross‑training in front‑office tasks to maintain our 5‑star patient experience.
Core Responsibilities- Foster a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients throughout their visit.
- Gather and record patients' medical history for the dentist's reference.
- Perform dental imaging, including X‑rays and impressions.
- Manage patient records and complete dental charting.
- Organize and prepare instruments for dental procedures.
- Administer topical anesthetics and assist with various clinical procedures.
- Assist the dentist during treatments by handing instruments and materials.
- Educate patients on effective dental care practices.
- Create temporary crowns and assist with dental preparations.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and sterilize dental instruments.
- Provide support in various clinic areas as assigned by leadership.
- Participate in community outreach activities as needed.

- Minimum age – 18.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
- Active RDA certification & license at time of hire.
- Minimum 1 year of dental office experience (highly preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of patient care or customer service experience (highly preferred).
- Reliable transportation and availability for clinic hours, including Saturdays.
Job Type: Full‑time
Pay: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour

Full‑time five days a week; alternating Saturdays; two Saturdays a month mandatory.
Occasional travel to alternate locations or training as needed.
Physical DemandsThe work requires standing, walking, using hands for manual tasks, reaching, occasional sitting or kneeling. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
