The Department of Comprehensive Dentistry at the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry is seeking applications for full‑time faculty positions. These positions are focused on providing pre‑clinical and clinical instruction for dental students in the Pre‑doctoral and General Dentistry divisions.
Applicants must possess a Doctor of Dental Science (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or a foreign equivalent. Additionally, they must hold either a Texas Dental license or be eligible for licensure in Texas. Completion of an American Dental Education Council (AEGD) or General Practitioner (GPR) program is highly preferred, and extensive broad‑based general dentistry clinical experience is desirable.
The responsibilities of this position include course administration, instruction in preclinical courses and clinical settings, and participation in the general dentistry clinical practice. Teaching methods employed include case‑based instruction, group discussions, lectures, demonstrations, and simulations.
