JOB SUMMARY
The Sales & Operations Associate supports certificate-related operations while promoting PFC products and services through customer engagement and referral-based sales. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of money certificate transactions and provides backup support to Teller and Customer Care functions as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare new money certificates, certificate redemptions, quarterly interest checks, and affidavits for lost certificates.
- Process maintenance requests for changes to account data and records.
- Process batch transactions for input into core banking systems (e.g., AS400) and support daily production reporting.
- Respond to customer inquiries related to certificates and prepare account verifications upon request.
- Prepare and distribute customer notifications, including monthly maturity letters.
- Assemble and mail IRS Form 1099 for interest payments.
- Conduct periodic bank rate surveys.
- Maintain customer files and required records (e.g., certificates, signature cards, CIF documentation) in accordance with records retention and compliance standards.
- Ensure accurate documentation of customer interactions and transactions in applicable systems.
- Promote PFC products and services by identifying opportunities during customer interactions and making appropriate referrals.
- Maintain basic prospect and referral information using internal systems and publicly available sources, consistent with a financial institution support role.
Teller Operations Support
- Process routine customer transactions, including payments, deposits, withdrawals, and disbursements.
- Accurately handle and balance cash drawers and negotiable instruments.
- Assist with end-of-day balancing and related documentation.
- Adhere to dual control, cash handling, and security procedures.
Customer Care Support
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, electronic communication, or in person.
- Provide accurate information regarding loan payments, ACH transactions, and general account inquiries.
- Document customer interactions and escalate complex issues to appropriate departments or management.
- Follow approved communication scripts, service standards, and regulatory requirements.
General Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent, professional, and courteous service to customers.
- Meet established quality, accuracy, and productivity standards.
- Participate in required training related to compliance, ACH operations, customer service, and system updates.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Coursework or training in business, finance, accounting, or banking preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, teller operations, sales support, or cash handling within a financial institution preferred.
- Experience working in a regulated environment is an asset.

- Familiarity with core banking systems and CRM platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret and follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
