Drywall Estimator

As our client expands their Drywall Specialty Trade Contracting, they're seeking a results-driven Estimator to oversee all aspects of project acquisition for this drywall subcontractor — from preconstruction and estimating through contractor coordination and transitioning to the field team. This role partners directly with executive leadership to install scalable systems, strengthen bid performance, and build a high-performing team as the company is expanding in San Antonio and across Central Texas.

• ✅ Lead project estimating across multiple interiors projects (drywall/metal stud, framing, ceilings).
• ✅ Manage estimating (including outsourced partners) and enforce disciplined bid handoffs.
• ✅ Build and maintain productive relationships with architects, developers, owners and contractors.
• ✅ Established consistent operating rhythm: WIP reviews, cash/AR tracking, and risk management.
• ✅ Facilitate and engage internal bid reviews with project team.
• ✅ Negotiate and confirm contract scope inclusions & exclusions

• 5+ years of experience in commercial interiors subcontracting or GC operations (drywall/metal stud preferred, light and heavy gauge metal framing, acoustical ceilings).
• 3+ years of estimating experience with digital takeoffs and scope assembly.
• Proven success leading multiple projects and teams with strong financial and operational results.
• Critical thinker and self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative.
• Demonstrated success under pressure and deadlines.
• Bonus:
