We are working with a highly regarded civil contractor based in San Antonio seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to support their bidding and preconstruction efforts. This role is responsible for analyzing project documents, preparing accurate quantity takeoffs, coordinating with subcontractors, and developing competitive bids.
Responsibilities- Review plans, specifications, schedules, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and review cut/fill maps
- Analyze site conditions and historical cost data
- Coordinate subcontractor quotes and ensure full scope coverage
- Submit RFIs and incorporate addenda and revisions
- Collaborate with Business Development and the Head of Estimating
- Pre-review and finalize bids prior to submission
- Degree in a related field preferred
- Experience estimating in a similar role (heavy civil for Commercial/Industrial projects)
- 5+ years of construction estimating experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HCSS
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
