Position Summary
BB&E is seeking a full-time Proposal Manager to support the Business Development Department on site at our Northville, MI;
Peachtree Corners, GA; or San Antonio, TX office.
- Write, edit, and develop technical content to create compelling proposals (primary responsibility).
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including subject matter experts (SMEs) in other departments to gather information needed for the development of a proposal.
- Participate in analyzing RFPs/RFQs/RFIs for go/no go decisions.
- Respond to federal government RFIs, RFPs at the IDIQ and Task Order level, Mods, and other responses at the program level, as needed.
- Support several proposals simultaneously in a high‑volume, quick‑turnaround environment.
- Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates and coordinating requirements with all contributors.
- Maintain and develop proposal content for ongoing use by the team.
- Edit and proofread proposals and other relevant materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and readability.
- Ensure all proposal assignments align with standards, branding guidelines, and company policies.
- Support other departmental writing needs, as required (e.g., development of QA Plans).
- Participate in all proposal‑related meetings, such as kick‑off meetings, status calls, SME interviews, etc.
- Translate technical conversations into winning federal proposal solutions (i.e., collaborate closely with technical SMEs to obtain sufficient information to develop compliant and compelling technical approaches).
- Assemble proposal content authored by other writers into cohesive, compliant technical proposals.
- Incorporate and address feedback and comments from Color Team reviews.
- Ensure content meets all compliance requirements.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in writing proposals (preferred experience in responding to federal RFPs/RFIs).
- Experience in managing proposal teams, monitoring progress, and maintaining proposal schedules.
- Experience in writing and updating project descriptions, resumes, win themes, and marketing material.
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Science, or Related Field (or a minimum of an Associate's degree in Business Administration or other liberal arts degree may be considered commensurate with the level of practical experience).
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in Canva preferred.
- Intermediate/Expert level in using AI / generative tools.
- Motivated self‑starters requested.
Competitive compensation packages – Salary Range: $85K – $120K
