Position: Vendor Performance Manager

Job Summary:

The Vendor Performance Manager (VPM) plays a vital role in ensuring that our external vendor partnerships align with Goosehead's mission to deliver best‑in‑class service to our clients and franchise partners. Vendor Performance Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing vendor relationships to ensure that Goosehead receives high‑quality, cost‑effective, and compliant goods and services. This position serves as the primary liaison between Goosehead and its vendor network, overseeing contract negotiations, performance management, risk mitigation, and the strategic alignment of vendor operations with the company's business objectives.

The Vendor Performance Manager at Goosehead Insurance supports the full vendor management life cycle by coordinating daily vendor activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

This position is critical in guaranteeing that all external vendors consistently meet Goosehead's performance, cost, and quality standards. The Vendor Performance Manager collaborates closely with the VPM Senior Manager, as well as the Compliance, Legal, and Service teams to ensure contracts are effectively managed, performance metrics are accurately tracked, and potential vendor risks are proactively mitigated.

This role plays a key part in driving operational efficiency, cost optimization, and strong vendor partnerships that uphold Goosehead’s commitment to service excellence for clients and franchise partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the main point of contact for vendors, fostering strong partnerships and ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Mitigate risks by ensuring all vendors comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Partner with Procurement, Finance, Service, and Legal teams to align vendor activities with business needs and priorities.
  • Assist with vendor performance tracking by collecting data, updating scorecards, and preparing performance summaries.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholder communication to resolve vendor-related issues promptly.
  • Track key metrics such as vendor spend, SLAs, renewal timelines, and contract expirations.
  • Prepare reports and analysis for the Vendor Senior Manager to support executive decision-making.
  • Assist with audit preparation, vendor risk assessments, and policy compliance activities.
  • Identify process improvements to streamline vendor administration and reporting.
  • Function as a liaison between vendors and internal departments overseeing and effectively managing contracts, contract negotiations, performance management, risk mitigation, and strategic alignment of vendor operations.
  • Partner with Procurement, Finance, Service, and Legal teams to align vendor activities with business needs and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key vendors to ensure service quality and reliability.
  • Monitor vendor performance against established service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Support the development of vendor strategies that enhance operational efficiency and cost savings.
