What You’ll Do- Drive HDR’s global market share and revenue growth.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients, aligning HDR’s capabilities with their goals.
- Lead major pursuit campaigns, developing winning strategies and guiding proposal efforts.
- Collaborate with market and operations leadership to define and support regional strategic plans.
- Mentor and train business development teams, fostering a culture of client focus and strategic thinking.
- Ensure the right talent and expertise aligns with client needs and growth opportunities, and help attract great people.
- Achieve global booking goals for the Waste Sector.
- Manage regional waste business development leaders.
- Maintain a strong understanding of waste market trends.
- Create a vision for the waste program with the Waste Sector Director.
- Oversee long‑term strategic plans and growth initiatives.
- Drive cross‑market strategic initiatives across the RBG.
- Lead major pursuit teams in creating and implementing effective win strategies.
- Identify candidates for management, technical, business development, and marketing positions.
- Develop training on business development and marketing best practices.
- Implement major client plans, including long‑term market capture strategies.
- Manage significant waste sector client relationships, understanding organization trends and upcoming opportunities.
- Build relationships with teaming partners.
- Participate professionally to elevate HDR’s brand.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Professional or engineering registration or relevant technical experience.
- Experience winning high‑value contracts in the waste industry.
- Minimum 15 years of industry experience.
- Self‑starter with a history of completing projects with limited oversight.
- Deep knowledge of A/E/C procurement practices.
- Ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Ability to build a network of clients and industry partners.
- Experience selling and developing effective win strategies.
- Strong financial and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel and engage in person.
- Experience growing programs in new or competitive markets.
- Experience winning high‑value contracts in the A/E/C industry.
- Experience crafting compelling content from technical staff.
