TxDOT’s San Antonio District is seeking a Management Analyst to join our Advanced Transportation Planning Office and help shape the future of one of the fastest-growing regions in the nation. As the San Antonio area continues to expand, our office plays a critical role in planning, developing, and funding both large-scale and local transportation projects that meet the region’s evolving mobility needs.

In this role, you will support district leadership by assisting the TP&D Director, District Advanced Planning Director, and District Advance Project Development Director with complex portfolio management activities. You’ll facilitate in-depth funding analysis, proactively coordinate project schedules, and help manage the district’s transportation project portfolio while building strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.

This position offers exposure to a wide range of planning and project development functions, including the environmental process (NEPA), four-year and long-range project programming, consultant and project management, public involvement, and collaboration with public agencies and community groups.   • Management Analyst V (B27): $84,182 - $142,374

This position is for a Management Analyst IV or V. The Texas Department of Transportation reserves the sole right in determining the level of position based on the applicant's work experience, education, skill level, and all other appropriate factors and based on business needs.

Role Summary and Responsibilities

Performs highly complex professional administrative and policy analysis work. Work involves conducting organizational studies and evaluations, designing systems and developing procedures, conducting work efficiency studies, and preparing operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively. May serve as lead worker for professional, technical and administrative employees. Work requires extensive contact with high-level executives, managers and governmental agencies.

Employees at this level are virtually self-supervising and assume direct accountability for the work product.
